Furniture Delivery

You’ve now chosen your piece(s) from our Anthropologie Home range, here’s some things to think about prior to delivery. When scheduling your delivery with our specialist furniture courier, please make them aware of anything that might make delivery a little easier.

entrance

MAKE AN ENTRANCE

Complete a walk-through of the path you’ll take from the delivery truck to your home, accounting for patios, gardens, sidewalks, apartment lobbies and entrances. Measure any fixed widths (such as porch steps) that may give you trouble.

knock knock

KNOCK-KNOCK

Measure the height and width of any doorways and hallways in your path. Consider your options, including side doors and garages. Account for handrails, door knobs, trims and hinges that can’t be removed. Measure the clearance from the door to the nearest wall or immovable object. If necessary, remove interior doors before delivery.

going up

GOING UP?

If you’ll be taking an elevator, measure the height and depth of the elevator door as well as the interior height, width and depth. Determine how much wiggle room you’ll have to work with by measuring diagonally from the bottom center of the door to the back ceiling. Account for handrails and lights that cannot be removed.

Step Up

STEP UP

Measure the width of any stairways and the width and depth of landings, accounting for handrails if you will not be removing them. Measure the clearance from the top and bottom of the stairs to the wall, the bottom step to the ceiling, the landing to the ceiling and the top step to the ceiling.

Making Moves

MAKING MOVES

Note any objects that might get in the way on delivery day: light and ceiling fixtures, wall art, area rugs, plants and other décor. Account for stationary objects like fire sprinklers, angled or low ceilings and handrails. Find alternative pathways if necessary.

Compare your measurements

COMPARE YOUR MEASUREMENTS

To determine whether your new furniture will fit in your room of choice, we also recommend creating an outline of the furniture dimensions on your floor using painter’s tape. Be mindful of access to outlets, light switches, vents and entryways. Please consider the size and scale in comparison to your current furniture.

It is the recipient’s responsibility to check the condition of the products upon delivery and highlight any issues and concerns with the courier at that time, the driver will ask the recipient to complete and sign a proof of delivery document before they leave the delivery location.

The nominated delivery provider will exercise every caution and care when delivering your order. However, in the event of any accidental damage to your property or person, neither Anthropologie nor the delivery provider can be held liable and only enter the premises under these conditions.
