Holiday Return Policy Update

'Tis the season for gifting! Please enjoy extended holiday returns and exchanges until January 31st for orders placed between October 1st and December 1st. Any items purchased after this period will qualify for our standard 60-day window. Please note, all existing policies and exceptions apply for the holiday extension.

Please note that items returned to Canada stores are ineligible for a refund of duty or taxes from your local customs office if, when purchased, import fees were due upon delivery. Import fees will be refunded if prepaid during checkout. Please refer to the Duty Refunds section below for more information.

Furniture and other oversized items are only eligible for shipment to addresses within the contiguous US, and may be returned within 30 days of the date of delivery. Click here for more information.

  • For merchandise returned within 60 days of the purchase date, a refund will be issued to the original form of payment at the original selling price. If returned after 60 days, a merchandise credit will be issued at the original selling price.
  • We'll gladly accept unworn, unwashed, and unaltered merchandise for return or exchange. Defective items may still be accepted.
  • Shoes, bedding, curtains, swimwear, FP Movement, BHLDN, and Unlimited Furniture Delivery items must be shipped back to our warehouse and cannot be returned to a store.
  • Reusable & protective face masks, menstrual cups, and personal devices from our sexual wellness assortment are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Anthropologie merchandise purchased at independent department stores must be returned to the location where it was purchased.
  • Without an original sales receipt, merchandise qualifies for an exchange at the current selling price. Item(s) exchanged must be of equal or greater value.
  • A one-time price adjustment will be granted on full-price purchases only if an original sales receipt is presented within 14 days of purchase.
  • Final Sale Policy: all sale items purchased at an extra 50% off are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Specialty Items

Furniture & Select Décor

  • Unlimited Furniture Delivery items in saleable condition may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the delivery date.
  • Unlimited Furniture Delivery items must be shipped back via our delivery service and cannot be returned to a store.
  • Select upholstery is subject to a restocking fee if returned, plus applicable taxes. The fee will be deducted from the refund once the return is processed. For details about the restocking fee for a specific item, please visit the product page.
  • Please refer to the Returning Furniture section for more information.

BHLDN

  • BHLDN merchandise may not be returned to stores unless originally purchased at a store location. Merchandise must be shipped back to our warehouse within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund to your original method of payment. If returned after 30 days, a merchandise credit will be issued.
  • We'll gladly accept unworn, unwashed or unaltered merchandise. All original tags must be attached and items must be returned in original packaging.


FP Movement

  • FP Movement merchandise may be returned to our warehouse within 60 days for a refund to the original form of payment at the original selling price. If returned after 60 days, a merchandise credit will be issued at the original selling price. These item(s) may not be returned to stores.

To make a return at a US or Canada Anthropologie store:

Returns are complimentary at all US and Canada stores, and must be accompanied by an original packing list. Please note, however, that items returned to a Canada store are ineligible for a refund of duty or taxes from your local customs office if, when purchased, import fees were due upon delivery. Please refer to the Duty Refunds section below for more information.

A government–issued ID is required for returns without an original packing list. We reserve the right to refuse or limit returns without an original packing list. Visit our store locator for the store(s) nearest you.

BHLDN merchandise may not be returned to stores unless originally purchased at a store location. Gowns must be returned by mail to the address listed on the prepaid shipping label included in your order. We kindly ask that all merchandise remain unwashed, unworn and unaltered, with all original tags intact. Click here for more information.

Returning Store Merchandise

We cannot process store-bought returns at our warehouse. Please return your items to any store near you. For convenience, you may ship your return with the original receipt via certified mail to your store of choice. Please save the tracking information for your records. Mailing addresses can be found in our store locator. Please contact the store for any questions regarding your return.

Refund Process

Most returns will process in approximately 2–3 weeks, depending on your method of return. Additional processing delays may occur. You will receive an email when your return has been processed (be sure to check your spam folder).

A refund will then be credited back to your original method of payment, and will post approximately two days after the processing date. It may take up to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your monthly credit card statement.

All anthropologie.com orders will be refunded in the original currency and method of payment used at the time of purchase, and converted at the exchange rate selected by your issuing bank at the time of refund. In the absence of the original method of payment, a store credit will be issued in the currency in which the original purchase was made. Gift card purchases will be refunded in the form of another gift card, and will be mailed to your billing address. If the billing address is outside of the US, an e–gift card will be issued via email.

You may also be eligible to receive a refund of duty and taxes from your local customs office if your item is shipped back to the US or returned in a US store. Please refer to the Duty Refunds section below for more information.

Refunds for merchandise purchased more than a year ago that are not accompanied by a packing list will be refunded at their current selling price.

Duty Refunds

If you wish to return merchandise, you may be eligible to receive a refund of duty and taxes from your local customs office if, when purchased, import fees were due upon delivery and you use one of the following methods.

By mail:

  • Pack up your return and mail it to the address listed here. Be sure to obtain proof of export from your postal carrier, as this will be required by your customs office.
  • You will receive an email confirmation when your return is received; be sure to keep this as proof of return.
  • Contact your local customs office for information on obtaining a refund. Canada customers may fill out this form to request a refund from the Canada Border Services Agency. Note: Canadian import fees prepaid during checkout are refundable by Anthropologie.

In a store:

  • Bring your return to a US store, along with the original packing list. Find your nearest location here.
  • Be sure to keep your new receipt. This will serve as proof of return and proof of export, and will be required by your customs office.
  • Contact your local customs office for information on obtaining a refund if, when purchased, import fees were due upon delivery.

Please note that returns made in stores outside of the US are not eligible for a refund of duty and taxes unless import fees were prepaid during checkout.

Exchanges

Merchandise exchanges can be made using any of the following methods. Please review the information below to determine which exchange method will work best for you.

Exchange by mail:

Before sending your exchange, please fill out the back of your packing list to indicate the type of exchange you’d like to make and enclose it in your package. Please note that the shipping charges outlined in the shipping information section for your country/region will be applied to items in exchanged orders.

If the cost of your new item is less than that of the item you originally ordered, your original method of payment will be credited the price difference, minus the applicable new shipping fee.

If the cost of your new item is more than that of the item you originally ordered, your original method of payment will be charged the price difference, in addition to the applicable new shipping fee.

Exchange in a store:

Exchanges are complimentary at all US and Canada stores. Merchandise purchased on anthropologie.com cannot be returned to stores outside of the US and Canada.

Exchanges made in a different currency from which the original item was purchased will be processed as returns, and you will be asked to complete a separate transaction in the new currency.

When making an exchange at one of our stores, please bring your original packing list and the items you wish to exchange in their original packaging to expedite the process.
